Shaping Strong Leaders for a Strong Nation
CEO Institute proudly organized the “Educational Seminar on Capacity Development for Educational Entrepreneurs and Private School Leaders in Cambodia for the Present and the Future,” a landmark educational event designed to empower leaders who shape Cambodia’s education sector today and tomorrow. The seminar was offered with free admission, reflecting CEO Institute’s strong commitment to inclusive capacity development and national progress.
The event was honored by the distinguished presence of H.E. Peung Kim Chhen, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports; H.E. Heng Vanda, Chairman of the Board of Vanda University; and H.E. Dr. OM Sengbora, Founder of CEO Institute, alongside numerous respected educational leaders, entrepreneurs, and institutional representatives.
The seminar focused on strengthening leadership and entrepreneurial competencies within the education sector, enhancing adaptability to change, providing practical strategies for effective school management, and promoting the development of high-quality and sustainable educational institutions across Cambodia.
A highlight of the seminar was the inspiring keynote address delivered by H.E. Peung Kim Chhen, aligned with the national campaign “Khmer Must Be Strong.” He emphasized that developing educational entrepreneurs and private school leaders is a vital pathway toward building a strong and resilient Cambodia. He explained that strong nations are built by strong individuals; strong individuals come from strong families; strong students are nurtured by strong teachers; and strong teachers are developed through strong leadership.
Reflecting on Cambodia’s proud history as a powerful civilization in Southeast Asia, H.E. Peung Kim Chhen noted that historical invasions occurred not because of moral inferiority, but due to disparities in capacity, size, weaponry, and power. This lesson, he stressed, remains relevant in today’s globalized and competitive world.
He further outlined three fundamental pillars of individual and national strength: health, emphasizing prevention and education before illness; advanced capacity and skill development through continuous learning; and noble conduct and character, representing the true value of humanity. He stressed that noble conduct is rooted in civility, morality, and virtue, without which humanity loses its meaning.
Beyond knowledge sharing, the seminar showcased CEO Institute’s broader mission to develop future-ready leaders through internationally aligned academic programs, practical leadership training, and lifelong learning opportunities. Participants were also introduced to the CEO Master Club, an elite leadership and business community that connects entrepreneurs, executives, and visionaries from Cambodia and abroad.
This seminar marked not only a successful educational gathering, but the beginning of a growing movement dedicated to leadership excellence, ethical values, and sustainable development. CEO Institute warmly invites business owners, educators, and aspiring leaders in Cambodia and overseas to study, grow, and lead together—because when leaders grow stronger, the nation grows stronger.
