A Strong Cambodia Begins with Developing Strong Capabilities

Cambodia’s strength begins with the development of its people.

A nation does not become strong through ambition alone. Sustainable national progress is built when its people continuously strengthen their knowledge, leadership, professional capabilities, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to adapt to change. Education, therefore, is not merely a pathway to individual success—it is one of the most powerful foundations for building a stronger Cambodia.

In this spirit, H.E. PEUNG Kim Chhein, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, honored the seminar on “Capacity Development for Educational Entrepreneurs and Private School Principals for Cambodia Today and in the Future” with his distinguished presence.

The seminar brought together more than 100 educational entrepreneurs and school leaders, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening Cambodia’s education sector and preparing it for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

When Educational Leaders Grow, the Nation Grows

Educational entrepreneurs and school leaders carry responsibilities that extend far beyond managing institutions. They help shape learning environments, develop human capital, inspire teachers, influence young generations, and ultimately contribute to the future competitiveness of the country.

The gathering provided an important platform for participants to:

  • Strengthen leadership and entrepreneurial capabilities to lead educational institutions with greater vision, professionalism, and confidence.
  • Acquire strategies for responding effectively to change in an era where technology, economic conditions, workforce expectations, and educational needs are evolving rapidly.
  • Improve institutional efficiency and sustainability, enabling schools to deliver greater educational value while building stronger and more resilient organizations.

The presence of more than 100 education leaders learning together sends an encouraging message: Cambodia’s educational community recognizes that yesterday’s knowledge alone cannot solve tomorrow’s challenges.

The future belongs to leaders who are willing to keep learning, adapting, improving, and transforming.

Strong Schools Build Strong People—and Strong People Build a Strong Cambodia

The quality of a nation’s future is closely connected to the quality of the people it develops today.

When educational entrepreneurs become more capable, their institutions become stronger. When school leaders become more effective, teachers receive better leadership. When teachers are empowered, students gain better opportunities to develop their knowledge, character, creativity, and potential.

This creates a powerful cycle of national development.

Building a stronger Cambodia therefore requires more than physical infrastructure or economic investment. It requires sustained investment in human capability, leadership, education, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning.

Every educational entrepreneur who chooses to improve, every school principal who strengthens leadership capacity, and every educator who embraces innovation contributes to something larger than an individual institution—they contribute to the future of Cambodia.

Cambodia’s Future Begins with What We Develop Today

The seminar represents more than a learning event. It reflects a collective commitment among Cambodian education leaders to prepare themselves and their institutions for a rapidly changing future.

The world will continue to change. Technology will advance. New professions will emerge. Competition will intensify. The expectations placed upon education will continue to rise.

The question is not whether change will come.

The question is whether we are developing ourselves fast enough to lead that change.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all educational entrepreneurs, private school leaders, and distinguished participants who contributed their time, knowledge, experience, and commitment to this meaningful initiative.

A strong Cambodia begins with capable people.

Capable people begin with continuous learning.

And the future we want begins with the capabilities we choose to develop today. 🇰🇭🚀
